The Manawatu River

Stopped on my way home to check out the river. It has been raining pretty much nonstop since yesterday afternoon. What a sight!!



The steps the council put in are under.



The walkway behind Buick Cres is under and behind the Esplanade there is maybe 4 - 5m before that goes over too.



The roar of the river is deafening and quite awesome at the same time. There are hugemongous trees cruising past at lightning speed and it makes for a breath-taking sight of mother earth.




And there is more rain to come. Fingers crossed it doesn't rise too much more.
