The Real Rules

While travelling down to Tawa today I discovered the other set of road rules - the ones for the open road.

A Stop Sign is not a stop sign when there is no-one else coming.

100km is not the speed limit but nearly an indication of how you may want to travel.

Trucks like to show they have power and overtake in a passing lane.... but get fucked up 2km down the road when climbing a hill.

Indicating to change lanes is only used if you want to be noticed and applauded.

With so many road works around the place 30km doesn't mean that - it means it for you, but not me.

And with all the works to straighten out curved roads, sooner or later cars are going to come to a corner in the road and panic thinking "what the hell is this and how do I approach this".

Mind you it could be worse, you could be stuck behind a blind and deaf tractor driver travelling on the road at 15km/hr.. no amount of horn or abuse gets that fat man to move.
